frequently asked questions
1. What do you do?
We provide dumpster rentals, junk removal services, demolition, and hauling services through NW Ohio and SE Michigan.
2. Do You Offer Neighborhood Pricing?
If your neighborhood is hosting a multi-family garage sale, a landscaping project, or a seasonal cleanup or clean-out, iTakeJunk, Inc. can help! We can provide you with group pricing on dumpster rental or junk removal to improve your entire block or neighborhood!
3. What junk can you remove?
We take any sort of non-hazardous materials.
Common examples include:
Furniture – sofa, sofa-bed, mattress, armchair, cupboards, filing cabinets or anything that does not fit in a regular trash bin.
Appliances – washer dryer, computer, stereo, printer, flat screen TV/monitor, fridge/freezer
Cellar, loft & garage – boxes, books, kitchenware, tools, clothes, etc.
Garden Refuse – loose branches, cut grass, fallen leaves (in a pile please!), soil, old pots, lawn mower, garden shed (dismantled), and patio furniture
Wood – fencing, firewood, lumber, plywood, gate, etc.
Construction/ Demolition / DIY waste – plaster, drywall, broken patio, pallet, crate, glass, concrete
Roofing / Flooring – tiles, asphalt, carpet, wood, flooring
For insurance, regulatory and health & safety reasons, we CAN NOT accept hazardous waste materials, including tires, old style box TVs/monitors (ie. CRTs), paint or paint cans full of paint, noxious chemicals, solvents, motor oils, petrol cans, asbestos, vehicle batteries, raw meat and fish, medical or biological waste (including feces), or any toxic substances in rented dumpster.
We will accept these items for an additional charge: tires, televisions, mattresses, propane tanks and white goods (appliances).
4. I'm unsure of what dumpster size to choose - what should I do?
Choosing the appropriate dumpster size can sometimes be tricky. But don’t worry, if you get it wrong – we can easily adjust it with a different size for an addition charge.
If you can’t decide between two dumpster sizes at booking, we recommend you choose the larger one. This will ensure the collection team has enough space in their truck to take all of your junk in one trip.

We are not licensed or insured to remove hazardous materials like asbestos, oil, weed killer and paint. We recommend you contact your local city council for information on hazardous waste carriers in your area.
